Transferring money to your family and friends is now easier and more secure than ever! Much like Zelle® and Venmo®, our SPIN P2P (person-to-person) feature allows you to instantly send funds directly from your TMB account through online banking.
Learn MoreWhether you’re reimbursing a friend for groceries or transferring money to your college student, we have made person-to-person (P2P) payments straightforward, secure, and instant. The best part is that you can send these payments directly through our mobile and online banking portal.
Step 1: Log into your mobile banking app or online banking portal. Click on the Move Money section and select “New Transaction.”
Step 2: Choose the account you want to send money from.
Step 3: Next, select the recipient of the funds. If you have previously sent a P2P payment to them, you can easily choose that person, again.
If this is your first time sending money to someone, click on “+Add New Payee” at the bottom of the screen.
Step 4: Choose your payment type, which in this case is “Person to Person.”
Step 5: Add your new payee by entering their name and selecting how you want to notify them about the payment. Input the recipient’s debit card details (if available) or their mobile phone number or email address. Once completed, click “Add Payee” at the bottom of the screen.
Step 6: Enter the dollar amount you wish to send. If desired, you can also add a note for the recipient. After entering this information, click “Continue.”
Step 7: Review your transaction to confirm all details are accurate. Once satisfied, click the “Submit” button.
Accepting the payment on the recipient’s side is equally straightforward! Depending on the notification method you’ve selected, they will receive an email or text message informing them of your P2P payment. After the initial transfer, all future payments will be processed seamlessly without any action needed from the recipient.
